Just thought I would introduce my new Plant Medicine line....

Vitamin C Oxymel

Vitamin C Oxymel combines the health benefits of both honey and apple cider vinegar, together with immune supporting herbs. Ingredients: Apple cider vinegar, local honey, *rosehips, orange peel, *echinacea and *elderberry (*) organic ingredients How to use: Take at the onset of a cold or as a preventative. Add a to fizzy, still or kefir water (my favourite); or add to your evening cocktail; place a teaspoon in your daily tea; or just take it straight (it tastes beautiful!).

Love Heart Tonic

Love Heart Tonic includes hibiscus which lowers blood pressure and rose petals which soothe the 'heart'. Ingredients: Rose hips, rose petals (wild crafted), *hibiscus sepals, *echinacea (*) organic ingredients How to use: Steep in kefir water overnight, then strain - your kefir is now a heart-healthy tonic. Alternatively, you can make sun tea by placing the tea in a jar with water and leaving it in the sun for the day. You can add other ingredients like calendula flowers or orange wedges. Steep as you would for hot tea and serve with honey and/or lemon, if desired.

Fire Cider

Fire Cider is a traditional remedy made by steeping nutrient-dense herbs in probiotic-rich apple cider vinegar. Ingredients: Apple cider vinegar, chillies, onion, garlic, oregano, thyme, peppercorns, lemon, rosemary, orange, calendula flowers, *ginger, *turmeric (*)organic ingredients; other ingredients are from my chemical-free garden How to use: take a shot daily in water as a preventative. To add additional benefit, place local honey in the drink as well. Use this mixture to make salad dressing - mix with olive oil, finely diced shallot, salt and pepper. Alternatively, you can add Fire Cider to your Sunday-morning Bloody Mary.

Digestive Bitters

Digestive Bitters support healthy digestion by increasing digestive enzymes, bile and hormones. This formula includes warming spices and fresh orange from my orchard. Ingredients: Brandy, roasted dandelion root, orange, cinnamon, cloves, star anise, peppercorns, ginger, cardamom (all spices are organic) How to use: Take a shot before meals directly in the mouth or add to fizzy, still or kefir water instead; add to your evening cocktail - very nice in an Old-fashioned or a Manhattan.

The 4 Thieves

The 4 Thieves Tonic dates back to The Plague - a band of notorious thieves were caught stealing from the ill; when asked how they did not get sick, the thieves credited this herbal treatment. Ingredients: *Apple cider vinegar, rosemary, oregano, sage, lavender, *juniper berries (*)organic ingredients; other ingredients are from my chemical-free garden How to use: Take a shot daily in water as a preventative. To add additional benefit, place local honey in the drink as well. Use this mixture to make salad dressing - mix with olive oil, finely diced shallot, salt and pepper

Olive Leaf Oxymel

Olive Leaf Oxymel has properties similar to olive oil – it lowers blood pressure and blood sugar levels, is anti-inflammatory and is full of antioxidants. Ingredients: Organic apple cider vinegar, local honey, olive leaves (from our orchard) How to use: Take daily as a preventative: 1 tablespoon in still, fizzy or kefir water. Olive leaf extract has a sweet-sour flavour with a hint of grassy-earthy flavour.

Beet Kvass Tonic

Beet Kvass is deeply nourishing (and a deep red colour). Used traditionally as a blood purifier and liver tonic, it tastes earthy, slightly sour and salty. Ingredients: Fresh water, organic beets, Celtic Sea salt How to use: Take one shot per day as a tonic, or add to still, fizzy or kefir water to enjoy as a drink. Alternatively, you can add it to cocktails such as a Bloody Mary.
