Another day of fermenting....yogurt, olives and kimchi.
We eat kimchi with breakfast most days, olives with lunch (even the little girls) and yogurt with dessert.
Fermented foods give you much needed 'friendly' bacteria to keep your digestive system healthy. They also provide digestive enzymes to help you break down your food.
If you suffer from digestive issues you should increase the amount of fermented foods you eat. Have one with every meal.
There are fabulous recipes in "Nourishing Traditions" by Sally Fallon...sauerkraut, raisin chutney, fermented carrot and ginger and so many more. I love trying new ones and experimenting with new creations!
